Located just outside of Maumee, Monclova is unincorporated community in Monclova Township in Lucas County. It can best be described as the suburb of a suburb, since there is no "downtown," except for a post office, elementary school, and community center. Affiliated Lumber is located almost directly west of Monclova, 10.6 miles or 16 minutes via Monclova Rd and County Road EF, at 5751 County Road 3 in Swanton, OH 43558. The Wabash Cannonball Trail's North Fork leads directly from Monclova to Affiliated Lumber.
Monclova Township has an estimated 12,400 inhabitants in total, and it feels less densely populated than its total. Monclova offers open land and space to build. Swan Creek runs diagonally across the township - its banks provide wooded seclusion to homes situated near it.
